International Women's Day is all about celebrating the achievements of women. It is also a day where men appreciate the women in their lives (kind of like a mix of Valentine's Day and Mother's Day). And because us women know how to party, Malaysia is hosting some exciting events held in conjunction with International Women's Day!

Happy International Womens DayWomen have a lot to be proud of. Looking back, we have accomplished so much to be the women we are today. In the 21st century, women have been to space, become prime ministers, have a university education, work AND have a family - women today have real choices and real opportunities. All this is thanks to the women in the past who have made this possible.

March 8 celebrates the 102nd International Women's Day where women around the world get appreciation, recognition, and honour due for their unique achievements and battles won in different aspects of life. It is a day to celebrate the triumphs of women around the world in the past and present without regard to their national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political differences.

Women in Malaysia will be hosting exciting events in conjunction with International Women day that sure to expect wonderful presentations by women, for women at these events in Malaysia:

 

Event:             Celebrating Birth and Motherhood

What it is:        Increasing the awareness about the condition of mothers and infants right after birth and the early postpartum months..
