Tired of your routine? Looking for a change of scene? Want to explore and experience new activities? Well, you’re not alone! With the school holidays approaching, we’re pretty sure everyone is looking for the perfect destination for a family getaway. But how do you narrow down your choices when everyone in the family has different preferences?
Well, well, well…what if we tell you that you can have it all, and we mean, ALL just by heading down to southern Klang Valley to Gamuda Cove? From adrenaline junkies to zen seekers and nature lovers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Gamuda Cove’s Township!
What’s there in Gamuda Cove?
Approximately a 40-minute drive from central Kuala Lumpur, Gamuda Cove is a unique township, boasting one destination, many experiences – Discovery Park (an adventure park amid lush greenery), Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands (an eco-tourism hub), Wetlands Arboretum (a natural sanctuary for wildlife conservation, nature research and forest fitness) and SplashMania Waterpark (well, the name says it all!).
These parks, powered by GL Play by Gamuda Land collectively offer a spectrum of experiences, from immersive encounters with nature to thrilling adventures and leisurely relaxation, that is in line with Gamuda Cove’s three leisure components – Discovering Nature, Sporting Adventure and Exciting Leisure.
FYI, GL Play is the leisure and hospitality arm of Gamuda Land. It’s the mastermind behind every exciting activity and experience visitors get to enjoy at their townships.
To help you plan your visit to Gamuda Cove a lot better, let us walk you through the parks and list down the latest attractions coming to you this August so you can make the most of your time there.
Discovery Park (Adventure Park)
Discovery Park is currently one of the top destinations for holiday activities. Mind you, it’s not your typical extreme or adventure park. Discovery Park is a 23-acre park that offers an array of exciting attractions that’s not only perfect for a family getaway, but also a great destination for company retreats and team building sessions. There are so many activities to indulge in that you might even need an extra day to completely explore this park!
Feel on top of the world at the Cove Aerobar.
Test your balance and challenge yourself at the Goosebumps Rope Course.
NEW this August: Thrilling sporting activities for the whole family!

Another unique feature of RUD Karting is the speed of RUD’s brand-new electric karts, which can be remotely adjusted, allowing racers as little as 60cm to experience go-karting

Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands (Nature Park)
Positioned as a Klang Valley eco-tourism hub, Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands spans 1,111 acres, boasting upgraded activities and facilities. Home to diverse wildlife, this natural conservatory features 14 interconnected lakes, which is home to over 14 reptile species including crocodiles, and turtles; 225 bird species; and mammals like hippos. Pretty amazing, huh?
We can already imagine the view and serenity of this beautiful nature park! We think it’s THE place to be for a peaceful time-out from the city. There are lots to do here, so take your pick from the list below:
This is your chance to feel what it’s like to be a ranger in the forest! Take a ride on the Safari truck, guided by experienced rangers, for an experiential and scenic tour through a charming bamboo trail, witness the calming view of Sendayan Lake, and feel a spark of nostalgia as you visit the classic Rumah Melayu. We think it’s best that you come dressed for the occasion because this is truly an insta-worthy tour!
Looking for something relaxing to do, perhaps after all the adrenaline-pumping activities at Discovery Park? Enjoy this relaxing cruise on an open boat across a lake, but remember to get your cameras ready because you might just come across some wildlife friends along the way!
Dads, grab your fishing rod and beverage of choice. Whether you’re up for a challenge or prefer to fish for fun, you’ll get hooked on this for hours because you’ll be surprised by the variety of species in the water!
Aside from this, you can also plan your own activities at this park. Bring your own camping set-up for a memorable night under the stars, bring your own bikes for a session of Adventure Cycling, and let the kids experience a fun bird-watching session!
What’s NEW this August? The Wetlands Arboretum
The Wetlands Arboretum, which as mentioned earlier, is a natural sanctuary for wildlife conservation, nature research and forest fitness, situated within the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. The Wetlands Arboretum aims to rehabilitate local biodiversity while fostering education and biodiversity research. It serves as a hub for environmental education, featuring a vibrant living plant arboretum. Its primary purpose is to cultivate plant species that thrive in the local habitat, with a specific emphasis on the wetlands ecosystem.
The Wetlands Arboretum is a great place to learn about conserving nature, and it is especially exciting for children as they get to surround themselves with nature – a nice break from digital screens! They will be in awe exploring the botanical library that houses more than 200 species introduced and approximately 3000 trees preserved.
