Nature provides some of the greatest inspiration for names, and there are plenty of little celebrity kids out there with names inspired by plants, flowers and even fruits. Beyonce’s Blue Ivy is one, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Apple is another, and Pink’s daughter’s name is the very zen sounding Willow Sage.

A little more unusual are names inspired by animals, like the ones below:

1- Zooney Dechanel and Elsie Otter Pechnik

Definitely unusual but also super cute, Zooey and husband Jacob Pechenik chose Otter as the middle name for their daughter because “Otters are cute, and playful and smart” Too adorable!

2- Jamie Oliver and Buddy Bear Oliver

Jamie Oliver and wife Jools are known for choosing whimsical, nature-inspired names for their kids. They have daughters named Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo and Petal Blossom Rainbow and also a boy named Buddy Bear. The phoenix is a mythical bird that rises from the ashes, and is such a cool name. It’s Ambrosio’s choice as the middle name of her son with fiancé Jamie Mazur. They also have a daughter named Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur.

5- Erykah Badu and Puma Sabti Curry

Soul singer Erykah Badu has always been known for her unique sense of style so it’s pretty fitting that her daughter’s name would be out of the box.  Puma may not be a common choice, but its a fierce and powerful choice, perfect for the daughter of a singer who is so filled with personality.
