This Christmas, Sunway Pyramid shopping centre has erected a 6m Christmas tree dubbed the “Pine of Hope”, which shoppers can help decorate for charity.
“Christmas has always been about joy, love and giving, and staying true to that, we aim to raise RM10,000 through our ‘Pine of Hope’ project,” said Sunway Pyramid chief executive officer HC Chan.
He said that shoppers can purchase ornaments and trinkets to decorate the tree in addition to pledging donations for charity.
“All proceeds will benefit the over 80 children from the City Revival Children’s Home and the Start Society,” he said.
The “Pine of Hope” can be found at the mall’s main foyer which is adorned with Spanish Gaudi-inspired mosaic decorations.
The project is part of Sunway Resort City’s “Season of Joy” year-end festivities, which was launched by the Tourism Ministry yesterday.
