A gruesome murder case has rocked Malaysia where two children were found dead and stuffed into plastic containers in Taman Sri Sinar, Segambut. Their father was also found dead at the Nova 2 apartment.
Cheah Kai Sze, 3 years old, and her younger brother Cheah Kai Wen, 7 months old, were found stuffed into separate plastic containers, which were then wrapped in large plastic bags in a room.
Their father Cheah Hing Soon, 34 years old, was found in the master bedroom. Only his death was reported by his wife.
They are survived by the 35 year old mother and two other children, aged 6 and 8 years old.
A post-mortem conducted by the Kuala Lumpur Hospital showed that the children had died weeks earlier.
The report further reveals that the baby boy sustained a fractured skull from blunt force trauma,
The causes of death for the toddler and father are yet to be determined. Poison is suspected.
When questioned, the mother claims to have not seen Kai Wen for a month and that her husband had told her on separate occasions that Kai Sze and Kai Wen were dead and that he had disposed of their bodies.
She details incidents of abuse by her husband towards her children, with the baby being thrown to floor on one occasion and chairs being thrown at the other children.
The two older sons who are living at their grandfather’s place not far from their house, have old wounds allegedly inflicted by their jobless father who is described as “short tempered and easily provoked” by the sounds of children crying.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy said that the couple had been unemployed for several years. The family was supported by the dead man’s father.
