Reviewing 5 Nursing Rooms In KL

Reviewing 5 Nursing Rooms In KL

Clean, comfy and well-equipped nursing rooms are a life-saver for parents bringing their babies out for a day. Here are 5 tried and tested nursing rooms in KL.

Clean, comfy and well-equipped nursing rooms are a life-saver for parents bringing their babies out for a day. In fact, I would seriously hesitate to bring my 8 month old out to a place without a basic nursing room.

From utilitarian to pretty fancy, here are 5 tried and tested nursing rooms in the KL city area:

Suria KLCC

This room is really well equipped with three curtain-drawn private nursing areas with armchairs and power points, four padded changing stations with small basins and taps within reach, enclosed play area, two armchairs at waiting area, female toilet, hot water dispenser, hand dryer and diaper bins. It’s also really big, and can accommodate many strollers.

There are some complaints that KLCC provides too few nursing rooms for a mall of its size, and this nursing room is tucked at the lowest floor, the Concourse Level next to Maybank, making it quite a hassle to get to if you are in one of the top floors.

Publika

There are two nursing rooms in Publika, one on level UG and the other on G2. The one on UG is bigger, with three curtain-drawn private nursing areas. There’s a padded changing table, sink, hot water dispenser, soap, diaper bins and a female toilet. This one is quite roomy with room for a few strollers and the bonus is that its got cute deco.

The other room is behind Just B, and is much smaller with only one nursing chair.

Fahrenheit 88

Fahrenheit 88 may not be a famous mall but it does have a pretty comfy nursing room on Level 2F next to the Thai Odyssey massage center. It’s got two curtain-drawn private nursing areas with comfy couches, plugs, a padded changing table, sink, diaper bins and also features cute deco like the one in Publika. The room is mid-size and can accommodate two nursing mums and their strollers.

Pavilion

The best part about Pavilion’s nursing rooms is that there is one on every floor! Which is a great move because Pavilion is really busy, and most times the baby rooms on the lower floors are already occupied. The down side is that they are really basic – one armchair in the nursing area with a plug point, and one “changing area” which is basically a countertop. You’ll need to bring your own change pad for the comfort of your baby. Another thing is that the lighting is really harsh and warm, so each nursing session can get pretty sweaty!

Bangsar Village 1 & 2

bv

There’s only one nursing room in the Bangsar Villages and it’s located on Level 1 by the Skywalk in Bangsar Village 1, behind Espressimo. It is very utilitarian, with two nursing armchairs in one cubicle which can be locked. There’s also one change pad, a sink and a bin.

It’s clean and the armchair is comfy but be prepared for a wait if its occupied. If your baby only needs a change, there are foldaway changing tables located within the disabled washroom on all levels in Bangsar Village 2.
