The Malaysian Babywearers hosted yet another successful event in conjunction with International Babywearing Week on Saturday, 5th of November. Despite not attempting to be recorded in the Malaysian Book of Records this year, the turn out was still pretty good. We had other babywearing chapters who came down to KL to join this auspicious event. Groups from as far as Johor (Selat Tebrau Babywearers) and Pahang (Pahang Babywearers) made the trip to KL to be a part of advocating safe babywearing.
Local Babywearing Brands at the Event
There were many vendors and customers were spoiled for choice. I managed to swing by these few:
#1 Baby Ultra
Here’s Dr. Izam from Baby Ultra giving a talk on Choosing the Right Baby Carrier.
#2 Daiesu
Daiesu is family run company. Owners are an extremely humble husband and wife team. Here they are showing various customers how to use one of their many wraps.

#3 Jumpsac
Happy customers who dropped by Jumpsac to try their rainbow ringslings and carriers.

#4 Snuggbaby
“We are so thrilled to meet everyone yesterday. It’s amazing to see our carriers in the huge crowd new and old. Tingling feeling right in the heart ????.” – Liza Yaakob, Snuggbaby
Malaysian Babywearers Babywearing Queen
I was at the event to meet other babywearing moms and to check out the sales offered by vendors this year of course. But the main reason why I was there was to judge and crown the next Malaysian Babywearers Babywearing Queen.
Congratulations Syafiqah Mazlan, you looked very beautiful indeed wearing your child. As I pass on the torch, I wish you all the best!
